We are a big team of about ten collaborators, represented by four people. Our team is composed of Congolese from both sides of the river: the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo.
The two Congos share many things in common.
They share the same climate and hydrography; they all straddle the Equator; they share more than 5 major ethnic groups in common; they all officially speak French, along with major national languages such as Lingala and Kikongo. Besides that, many other cultural and artistic aspects are common to both countries, such as LES SAPEURS (the dandies of fashion), Catch Fetiche (voodoo wrestling), folklore, etc.
The two capital cities are the closest in the world.
The two Congos are also united by the majestic Congo River and by pre-colonial history.
The Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo. These neighboring countries share similarities in name, but each has its own unique history and natural beauty.
In contrast, the Republic of Congo is smaller in size but equally captivating. Its lush rainforests, magnificent rivers, and vibrant wildlife make it a nature lover’s paradise. Both countries offer a wide range of natural wonders, from the awe-inspiring Virunga National Park in the DRC to the pristine Odzala-Kokoua National Park in the Republic of Congo. Explorers and nature enthusiasts will find themselves spoilt for choice in either destination.
